Taylor Adam Simer left this world far too soon, and life hasn’t felt the same since. There are no perfect words for a loss like this, but he deserves that we try.
Taylor was so many things to so many people. A son, a brother, a grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. But above all, he was a fighter, protector, loyal, and deeply loving. His love wasn’t always spoken but it showed in his actions. If you needed him, he showed up. If you were hurting, he hurt with you. He carried a quiet strength that many never realized until they saw it in the way he stood by the people he loved.
Taylor also had a lighthearted side; he loved to have a good time. Whether he was laughing with family, hanging out with friends, or being silly with kids, his joy was contagious.
He is survived by his parents, Rhonda & Shawn Williams and Jeff & Tammy Simer; his brother, Jeffery Simer Jr. and family; his sister, Shayla Reynalds and family; his memaw, Barbara Wolf; as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, stepsiblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carol & J.L. Simer and Janice Crews.
Taylor will be missed more than words could ever express. But this isn’t the end of his story, it’s the beginning of how we carry him with us. In our memories. In our love. In the strength and joy, he showed in life. This isn’t goodbye, it’s until we meet again.
