Steve Fields was Born June 27, 1947 in OK to Edward and Fern “Cassidy” Fields. He passed away in his home at Nichols Hills, OK January 23, 2024. Growing up in Oklahoma City, he graduated Capitol Hill high school then attended Oklahoma University where he was active with the ROTC. During his senior year he met Sheryl Bishop. They married in the Summer of 1970 and had 2 son’s: Steve “Keith” Jr and Eric Edward. Though this union was only 4 years, their two sons were a blessing. Steve would later marry Maria “Espie” Esperanza for 40 years. Steve’s career spanned being a Security officer with Pinkerton Security, a residential real estate agent, a high school teacher with Crooked Oak school district, a OKC federal bank reserve security officer, and later working with “Bott Christian talk Radio”. He loved to talk - would “talk a tree into a 2x4”. 

Steve was an avid reader until his stroke in 2018 ,  reading anything , but usually keeping a science or science fiction book close by. He knew something about everything, his family tried many times without success to get him to try out for the TV show “Jeopardy”.

Steve is Preceded in death by his father Ed Fields, beloved mother Fern (Fields) McCorkle who was a Centenarian (100 years old), 1/2 brother Ellis Fields along with sister-in-law Mina Klemme. Steve is survived by wife - Espie Fields of the home, 2 sons - Keith Fields and wife Traci of Stigler, OK with their 3 children: Caleb and wife Jalee; Conner, and Carrigan. Eric Fields  and wife Kathy of Oak Harbor, WA with their 3 children: Chad, Rebecka, and Scott. Nephews James Fields of Oregon and Curtis Fields of Colorado along with niece Jana Thompson of Deurne, Belgium; her daughter Christina Cooper and husband Nick of Oklahoma City with their children.
