Roy Dean Cooper, age 75, of Yukon, OK, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024. Born on February 25, 1949, to William Henry Walker and Melva Smoke Walker, Roy's life began with a poignant chapter as his mother passed away during childbirth. He was lovingly adopted by his sister, Marjorie Walker Cooper Morgan (Marion), and Charlie Cooper (Vikki), who raised him with immense love and care. His adoptive parents preceded him in death, but his step-parents, Marion “Coach” Morgan and wife Christine, remained a cherished and active part of his life.

To celebrate Roy's life, friends and family are invited to gather in Yukon, OK, at the family home on May 25, 2024 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. A second celebration will be held on June 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Holts Summit, MO. These gatherings will honor Roy’s memory and the profound impact he had on everyone who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Your Local Animal Shelter, Your Local Charitable Veteran’s Organization, or Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, especially in honor of his granddaughter, Grace Ann Fender, and great-niece, Eden Kallberg, to reflect Roy’s spirit of giving and community.
