IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robin
Bonnema
November 9, 1957 – March 27, 2026
Memorial Service
The OKC Farmers Market Venue
11:00 am - 12:00 pm (Central time)
Robin Bonnema was born on November 9, in the quaint town of Kremmling, CO, in the year 1957. She was the second daughter born to Grayford and Joan Chesher, and the younger sister of Cynthia L. Collins-Clark.
In 1959, the family moved to Oklahoma City, OK, where Robin resided, attending Kaiser Elementary, Taft Jr. High School, and graduating from Northwest Classen High School in 1975. It was during these years that she formed lifelong friendships, which led to cherished memories.
After graduating from high school, she attended Oklahoma State University, where she met the love of her life, William (Bill) Bonnema, whom she married in June 1978. After having their two precious children, Rachel and Brad, they moved to New Jersey. It is within these places that she built a home filled with faith, family, and love.
Robin’s career began early in the marketing/advertising industry, which exemplified her creativity, intelligence, and talents. Robin’s experiences vastly superseded the confines of any one discipline. Coupled with her compassion and empathy for others, this allowed her to bridge the gap between professional and personal, thus leading to deep relationships with all who knew her.
Widowed at 50, she remained committed to her family, which was always her priority. She remained steadfast in her support of her children’s ambitions while navigating adversities through her unwavering faith in the Lord.
Her legacy lives on through her daughter Rachel, her son Brad, his wife Lauren, as well as her four grandchildren, Piper, Olive, Eden, and Ezra.
Her Oklahoma memorial service will be held at The OKC Farmers Market Venue (311 South Klein Avenue) on Wednesday, April 22nd at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Robin’s memorial at the service or to a charity of your choice in her name.
(The New Jersey Memorial Service information will follow at a later date.)
