Mabel Jenell Bledsoe was born July 8, 1939 to Grail and Mildred Pendarvis of Anadarko, OK.  She attended Lincoln Elementary School in Anadarko, OK.  She also attended Anadarko High School to her senior year.  Later during Mabel"™s school she moved to Oklahoma City, where she attended Douglas High School for a short time.  Mabel attended a community college and graduated with an associate"™s degree when she received her Licensed Vocation Nurse (L.V.N.).  Through the years she worked as a C.M.A Home Care Nurse and in nursing homes in the Oklahoma community.  Mabel was a hard worker; she also worked at the V.A. Hospital for over 10 years in Oklahoma City.  Through the years of caring for the sick, she later moved to San Jose California where she worked at the San Jose California Hospital for over 20 years as a phlebotomist.  Mabel accepted Christ during her growing years.  She was a member of the Jubilee Bible Ministry Church under the Direction of Reverend Laurence Pendarvis. During Mabel"™s illness she was a fighter.  She was well cared for by her oldest sister Vivian, who was there for her until she was called home.  Her baby sister Jewell was always there for a helping hand.  Mabel had great care from all the nurses from Crossroads Hospice and Canterbury Nursing Home.  They became a family because they worked as a team.  Mabel"™s two nieces Deborah and Denise, who also took time out of their busy schedule, were a great help.  She was well loved by her family.  Mabel was married to Leo Terry and to their union four children born.  She later married Curtis Bledsoe. Preceding her in death was her husband Leo Terry Sr.; her father Grail Pendarvis; a brother Billy Pendarvis; a sister-in-law Inez Pendarvis; one nephew Ronald Earl Pendarvis; one niece Dorothy Wilson; nephews Tory Burdex and Maurice Jackson; and her paternal grandparents.  Mabel is survived by her children; sons, Leo Lonnie Terry (Patricia) of California, Lionel Lamont Terry of Oklahoma, Leonard LaWade Terry (Lena) of California; one daughter Leah Lafran Stillens of California; six grandchildren: Leo Lonnie Terry III, Leonard LaWade Terry Jr., Nicolas Alexander Terry, Lev Josiah Terry, James Stillens, and one granddaughter Amber Jenell Stillens all of Northern California; four sisters, Vivian White of Oklahoma, Verta Mae Massey (Roy) of Oklahoma, Margret Burdex (Jessie) of New Mexico and Jewell Landers of Oklahoma; two brothers, Lawrence Pendarvis (Bobby) of Oklahoma and Grail Pendarvis of Oklahoma; and her mother Mildred Pendarvis; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Mabel Bledsoe please visit our Sympathy Store.
