Inez Leona Rickman, 94, passed away on May 30, 2017 in Oklahoma City. She was born in Quinlan, Oklahoma on September 2, 1922 to William and Eva Mullins, the eldest of three children. Leona enjoyed a full life; traveling with friends and family, her favorite trips were London and Israel; genealogy research, becoming the family historian; spending time at the farm; and attending family celebrations wherever they took place. She was an accomplished bridge player; interviewed by PBS about life in western Oklahoma during the dust bowl days of the 1930’s, which is part of a series on state’s history; and she made time to be a docent at the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion. She had an extended family that she loved and was loved by them. Leona poured her self into helping others and was an inspiration to those she came in contact with. She retired from the FAA as a Budget Analyst. Leona had a passion for her involvement with the Daughters of the American Revolution Oklahoma Prairie Chapter. Leona was preceded in death by her Husband Rick, sister Leota Million and brother Irvin Mullins. She is survived by a niece, nephew and extended family. The family would like to thank the staffs of Sterling House-Dorset, Heritage at Brandon Place and Physician’s Choice Hospice for their loving care of our aunt Leona. Leona was a long-term active member of New Covenant Christian Church and a believer in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 29 at the church, 12000 N. Rockwell Ave., Oklahoma City.
