Kathleen Laura Gates, age 79 of Piedmont, Oklahoma passed away on 8/31/26. She was married to Claude Dean Gates (deceased). She was born on 9/17/46 in Ada, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Bernard Moses and Patricia Claassen (Murillo). She was the mother of Karen Francka (Jack), Sharon Williams, Daryl Gates (Theresa), Kite Gates (Christy), and Patrick Gates. Kathy was the sister of Rudy Claassen, Jeff Claassen, and Denise Jenks (James). Grandchildren include Jacob Francka, Jason Francka, Zach Simmons, Laura Simmons, Kyndal Cottrell, Kadyn Gates, Cody Gates, Nick Gates, Tiya Frame, Ray Simmons, and numerous great grandchildren. She loved pottery, arts and crafts, fishing, sewing, and paint and body work with her husband, Claude. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 5th, 2026 at Light Your World Church at 4550 NW Expressway, Okarche, Oklahoma at 10am.
