He graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law in 1984 and began working at Pierce Couch Hendrickson Baysinger & Green, where he became a senior partner.
Roger was a lifelong University of Oklahoma football fan and annual season ticketholder. He was an avid reader but also a lover of nature and all things outdoors who took yearly fishing trips with his good friends from law school.
Roger was an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church as his faith was very important to him. He was a vital part of the Second Saturday ministry to the unhoused in Oklahoma City.
Roger will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was an exceptional lawyer and trial attorney. Blessed with a keen intellect and work ethic, Roger also had a tremendous sense of humor and was a devoted father and excellent to his friends. An additional star has been added to the heavens.....his family and friends will miss the warmth and glow of that light here on Earth, but will forever remember and cherish the time we were allowed to share with him.
He is survived by his two daughters, Allyssa and Carly Hurt.
A memorial service will take place Friday, April 14th at 2:00 pm at New Hope United Methodist Church on Council and NW 122nd Street.
