Janet (Jan) Lea
Boldman

Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens
Starts at 2:00 pm (Central time)
Janet (Jan) Lea Boldman, age 82, of Edmond, OK, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She was born on October 4, 1943, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, to Rev. Lee Roy and Opal Richardson.
While Jan retired from Turner Brothers Trucking Company, her work there does not define the essence of who she was. Jan was a compassionate, caring individual who loved the Lord and served others faithfully. She spent her life volunteering and giving her time to churches and organizations such as Women of the Word Bible Studies, Stephen Ministry at Crossings Church, and being a care partner for others.
Jan was blessed to be married twice. Her first husband, Don Galloway, she cared for until his death. She went on to marry the love of her life, Elza Boldman. They spent their time together taking cruises, having weekly date nights, cheering on their favorite sports teams, and loving on their dogs.
Being a breast cancer survivor, Jan understood what it took to care for others. She diligently and lovingly cared for her second husband, Elza, until her health began to fail.
Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Elza Boldman; parents, Lee Roy and Opal Richardson; brother, Larry Richardson Sr; sister, Betty Kelley; and stepdaughter, Karen Galloway.
Jan is survived by her stepdaughter, Shelly Stierlen (husband Loyal), stepsons, Kevin Boldman (wife Teresa), Brad Boldman (wife Frances), Alan Galloway, and Gary Galloway. From these stepchildren, she was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary Jane Portis (husband Jerry) and her sister-in-law Darlene Surber.
Jan had a way of creating bonds with a select few that made them feel like family to her. She leaves behind the Rev. Ron and Marilyn Frederick family, whom she dearly loved. Her best friend, Eunice Stigler, was her constant companion and travel partner, and someone she always knew she could count on. Jan’s family wishes to thank these individuals for the way they poured into Jan’s life and for the lasting impression they left on her.
The service for Jan Boldman will be held graveside at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162. This will take place on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2 pm.
