Delores Howie

Delores Gail Howie was born October 12, 1951, to Margaret and Oren Childers. She attended Del City High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Dan Howie. They married on May 1, 1970.Delores gave her life to Jesus at an early age and had a deep-rooted faith. She enjoyed baking, traveling, and playing card games like Mexican Rummy and Skip-Bo. She especially loved holidays filled with good food, laughter, and time spent with loved ones. If someone didn’t have a place to go, they were always welcome in her home. Delores was the heart of her family, bringing everyone together and creating traditions and memories that will be treasured by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Dan Howie.She is survived by her three children, Rachel and her husband, Scott; Asa; and Drew and his wife, Melanie; four grandchildren, Maya, Hudson, Berkley, and Charlie; and two great-grandchildren, Archer and Scout.Delores will be remembered for her deep love of family, her faith, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her.
