Clifford (Cliff) Cox, age 78, passed away on March 13, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was born on February 14, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late James Wilbur Cox and Rheanita Cox York.

Cliff proudly served his country in the United States Navy for seven years. After his service, he built a long and dependable career in the oil and gas industry. He enjoyed a full life centered around the things he loved most, including hunting, fishing, playing golf, and two-stepping. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and the time he cherished with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela, and his sister, Dana.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marie, of Piedmont, Oklahoma; his daughter, Nikki Mitchell and husband Joe, of Mustang, Oklahoma; two stepsons, Ryan Laverty and wife Jessica, of Afton, Oklahoma, and Kirby Laverty and wife Jenny, of Laverne, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Madison Jackson and husband Cody, Hunter Mitchell and wife Kaitlyn, Haley Mitchell and fiancé Blake Davis, Kenzie, Camryn, Carson, Carly, Kaitlyn, Reese, and Lawson Laverty; and one great-grandson, Mitchell Jackson, along with many other family members and friends.
