Bridget Cathleen Brunson

October 2, 1989 — November 4, 2023

Fargo

Bridget Cathleen Brunson blessed us with her presence on October 2nd, 1989, in Woodward, OK and became the family's first official “Okie”. After two decades of fighting ITP and Non-Alcoholic Cirrhosis of the Liver the Lord took her to her forever home in the early morning hours of November 4th, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Bridget was born into a family of one brother and five sisters whom she loved and adored with all her heart. Her brother, Christopher, would carry her up and down the halls to soothe her as a baby.  Once her sister Brittany was born, she did not want to give up the role of baby, but reluctantly grew to accept it and the two spent much time together in childhood and adulthood. Bridget loved all her sisters dearly and had a special tattoo just for them: “My heart, My world, My Sisters”.

In school she played basketball and softball and always loved being athletic. She considered her childhood coaches Allen Tune and George Ross family and treasured the memories of her time in sports with her friends. Bridget loved summertime, being at the lake, in the sun, gardening, and being with her family. She always had her little chihuahua, Pheobe, with her, including when she would sneak her into high school in her pocket. Bridget was full of sunshine and comfort for anyone in need and always looked for the good in people no matter what. She considered all her friends family and treated them as such, often letting people stay with her when in need.
She bragged a lot on her parents and thought the world of them and the sacrifices they had made for her and her disease. Later in life after the passing of her father, Bridget added a tattoo for each of her parents, so their words of love would always be with her.
She was fiercely independent and never let her disease hold her back. Bridget traveled a lot in her short life and took advantage of every opportunity the Good Lord gave her. Bridget was so optimistic about her future and the new life she would get with a new liver and never stopped fighting for that chance. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, and aunt and her presence will be and is already sorely missed.
Bridget was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Winson and Cliffie Creech and her paternal grandparents Vernon and Nettie Mae Brunson; uncles, Joe and Pat Creech, aunt Debbie Creech, her sweet daddy, Ricky Brunson and precious nephews Jaxon and Ryder Hamaker; her beloved sister Candice Brunson and brother-in-laws Brandon Hamaker and Matthew Sullivan.
She is survived by her mother Cathy Brunson of Fargo, OK; brother Christopher Brunson and wife Casey of Woodward, OK; sister Carriss Sharp and husband Phil of Elk City, OK; sister Jacqueline Hamaker of Gage, OK and baby sister Brittany Brunson of Bethany, OK; nieces, Breann and Deborah Rayne Brunson, Kaia Sharp, and Jazmyn Hamaker; nephews, Traylen Drake-Brunson, Trevelyn Whiteneck-Brunson, Austin Sharp, and Rocky Hamaker; uncles Paul Creech and wife Dottie of Irving, TX, Bobby Creech and wife Sharon of Yelm, WA, Mike Creech and wife Sandy of Weathorford, TX, Aunt Janet Hardin and husband Jackie of Holley, TX; as well as many special friends and cousins too numerous to count, including special family-friends Debbie Stewart and husband Steve of Fargo, OK.
