Obituary

In Loving Memory of Alice Carrillo

Alice Carrillo was born June 29, 1946 and passed and passed away September 23, 2026. Alice was a fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was extremely loyal and devoted to her family, friends and her Christian faith.

Alice had a passion for life and embraced every opportunity to make memories. She loved traveling with her friends and family whether taking a trip overseas, skiing in the mountains or a trip to Las Vegas.

One of her many hobbies included bowling. Her bowling skills were impressive and she loved her weekly bowling games with her family Robert, Tina and Gina, and her grandchildren Nicky, Tristan and Ethan. Even just a couple of years ago she could still throw a strike or two. She loved to be silly and make everyone around her laugh.

Her other great hobby was oil painting on canvas. She was an incredible artist and created some of the most beautiful scenic paintings.

Alice dedicated 30 years of service to the Department of Human Services, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues. She took great pride in her work and genuinely cared about the people she served and worked alongside. The friendships she formed throughout her career remained dear to her long after her retirement, and she often spoke fondly of her time there.

She even went back to college to finish her degree in Human Resources while she was working fulltime with her best friend Donnita.

Alice was preceded in death by Robert Carrillo, her parents Margaret and James Brassfield, sister Darlene Terronez, brother Carl Brassfield, and sister Florence Pelayo. She is survived by daughter Gina Kazerooni and family Vahid and Nicky, daughter Tina Manek and family, Steve, Tristan and Ethan, and nieces and nephews, Margie, Rose, Mary, Lindy and Jimmy Terronez, Michael and Brian Pelayo, Skyla Ahhaitty, Paul Brassfield and Carla Laird.

A memorial service will be held at the chapel of Corbett Funeral Home on October the 16th at 2 P.M.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
