Randell Dukes Sr.

Randell Dukes, Sr. was born on October 13, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri to John and Velma Dukes. He was the second child born to this union. He accepted Christ at an early age. He received his early childhood education from Cole Mid High; he graduated from Douglas High School class of 1966. Randell also graduated from Southwest Technical College where he received a Certification in Electronic Technology. Randell married the love of his life Zelder Jones November 1, 1969. To this union five children were born; Charlotte, Ramona, Randell Jr., Cameron and LeKeytha. Over the course of his life, Randell worked as a Head Janitor for OKCPS, Water Treatment Control; he also worked for AT&T until his early retirement. He was a devoted husband, father, Deacon and Trustee for many years. Randell loved fishing, music, sports, and spending time with his family. Randell peacefully transitioned at home on February 16th at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Velma Dukes; one granddaughter, Jasmine Dukes; one grandson, Randell Dukes III. Randell leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 51 years, Zelder Dukes; children, Charlotte (Drexle) Mewborn, Ramona Jeffries, Randell Tommy Dukes Jr., Cameron (Ayiesha) Dukes, LeKeytha Dukes; two brothers, John Dukes Jr., Percy Dukes; four sisters, Charlotte Freelen, Gwendolyn Dukes, Vanessa Glenn, Janora Davis; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; in-laws, Kathryn Bowen, Cleveland Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
