Margot Amalie Olea

December 23, 1939 — November 13, 2021

Margot Amalie Olea passed away on November 13, 2021 at her home in Oklahoma City, with her husband, Jerry by her side. They shared 60 years of marriage together. She was 81years old. She is survived by her husband Jerry, her eldest daughter Tanya and her husband Jason, her younger daughter Stephanie, and her husband Mark, and her four granddaughters Ellen, Kaitlyn, Alyssa and Arynn. She is also survived by her sister Ingeborg and will be joining her brother Herbert, who passed away in October. Born in Vach, Germany, Margot was the daughter of Johann and Katharina Siegling. Although she grew up in the aftermath of WWII, the stories she told were always full of joy and mischief. Her brother knocking her out with a snowball while walking to church... How she was pushed to the front of the crowd when American soldiers marched through their town because she looked the saddest and could get the most chocolate! Breaking her brother's skis and then putting them back in the ski rack like nothing had happened. Margot's passion was cooking. She cooked for family and friends frequently - often spending days preparing in advance. She enjoyed nothing more than a house full of people talking over one another and complimenting her fantastic meals. Always on the menu German Potato Salad, potato balls and her "Famous Pork" - which, to her granddaughter's dismay, turned out to be Schnitzel!. Margot also loved shopping and dressing well. Both her daughters and granddaughters were amazed and admired at how confident she was about her appearance. She also loved buying things to decorate the house. It is filled with her music boxes, angles, and other treasures. The funeral service will be held on November 18, 2021 at 2 PM at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior located in Bethany, Oklahoma. Light lunch will be served before the service A short graveside service will be held the following day, Friday November 19 at the Fort Sill National Cemetery, at 2 pm.
