Lillie Hazel Fountain Frey

Lillie Hazel Fountain Frey, 85 of Oklahoma City passed from this life to her eternal home in Heaven on April 27, 2020. Hazel, as most knew her, was born in Cox, Texas on July 5, 1934 to the late John Raymond Fountain and Evia Leola (Cook) Fountain. Hazel is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Frey. Hazel had six siblings whom she dearly loved, five of whom were waiting for her in Heaven – Helen Phillips, Herman Fountain, Buford Fountain, Evie Fountain, and Ronnie Fountain. Hazel is survived by her sister Virginia Luman and her life-long best friends Will and Joan Dinkins. Hazel’s favorite roles in life were as Robert’s wife and the mother of Bobby Frey, Patty Nelson, John Frey (Lynette) and Kimberly Sindelar (James). Hazel was dearly loved by her grandchildren Josh Frey, April Frey, Chris Nelson, Rebecca Meyer, Michelle Nelson, Heather Nelson, Olivia McConnell, Anna Frey, Benjamin Barnes, Adam Barnes, Matthew Barnes, Aaron Barnes and Sarah Barnes. Hazel was very involved in the lives of all her grandchildren who were very blessed by her. Hazel loved helping care for newborn babies who joined the family. She was blessed to enjoy 10 great-grandchildren as well and was dearly loved by many nieces and nephews. Hazel and Robert lived in Sand Springs, Oklahoma for over 30 years and were members of Broadway Baptist Church, where they were very active. Hazel loved the Lord Jesus Christ and shared His love with everyone with whom she came in contact. Hazel’s greatest desire was to be joined in Heaven by all her friends and family. Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2020 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Corbett Funeral Home, 807 W. Wilshire Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Due to Coronavirus restrictions, attendance is very limited. The family asks that you reach out to them if you plan to attend. Burial will follow at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, Hazel asked that donations be made in her honor to Samaritan’s Purse at www.samaritanspurse.org.
