Annette Alice Wilson (Kehoe)

February 15, 1948 — January 5, 2021

Annette Kehoe Wilson, born February 15, 1948 in South Windsor, CT, received the “crown of life after persevering” through her trial with lung cancer (James 1:12). She left us while sleeping peacefully at her daughter’s home in Oklahoma City on January 5, 2021. Annette will be lovingly remembered and honored by her husband Lawrence “Larry” Wilson, with whom she recently celebrated 46 years of marriage; her daughter Larann Wilson who was honored to care for her every day of the last two months of her beautiful life; her son Brenden Wilson whom she was utterly proud of, his wife Nicole Easton Wilson, and her two granddaughters Alexa and Teagen, whom she adored from the day they were born. She is also survived by her caring brother John B. Kehoe III, nephew John B. Kehoe IV, and niece Danyel Kehoe Lynn; as well as numerous relatives. She was predeceased by her loving parents John B. Kehoe Jr. and Ann Merkinikas Kehoe. Affectionately known as “The Cake Lady,” Annette established a successful career as a wedding designer for 28 years. She also found time to serve her community in various ways including being a member and president for both Bolton and Manchester 8th District Fire Departments’ ladies’ auxiliaries. Annette and Larry joyfully enjoyed their retired years in sunny Florida. It would be wrong to say that Annette “lost” her battle because she never stopped fighting. When anyone else would have broken, Annette stayed strong through her faith in Jesus Christ and her tough Irish-Lithuanian stock. Through her, we know what faith, resilience, and perseverance truly look like. Annette was sweeter than any treat or cake she ever made. Her friends knew her as a kind soul with a shining smile that would warm any heart and one who was always willing to help others with advice and comforting hugs. Annette will be terribly missed but fondly remembered. A funeral Mass will be held 2:00pm EST/1:00pm CST on Saturday January 16th, 2021 at St. Joseph Old Cathedral, Oklahoma City with arrangements entrusted to the parish at 307 NW 4th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73101. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to The American Cancer Society. The Mass will be livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page: St. Joseph’s Old Cathedral.
