History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

When we sit down with a family, we have just one goal: to create a fitting, memorable and affordable service for their loved one. Together, we explore the wide variety of services and products available, as well as a wealth of creative ideas and suggestions.

Together, we'll design a memorial or funeral service that suits their needs now, and in the future. Families who come to us know that years from now, they will have deep peace-of-mind because in coming to us, they've done their best to honor their loved one.

Our History

Corbett Funeral & Cremation Service, est. 2005 by Darin M Corbett and family, is an independently owned and operated family business located in the Nichols Hills area of NW Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Corbett Funeral & Cremation Service is dedicated to providing truly meaningful burial and cremation services of distinction to those we are honored to serve. Our offerings are professional, compassionate and just as important, very reasonably priced

Our owner, Darin M. Corbett is a native Oklahoman and has lived and worked in many different metropolitan areas around the United States.

He is married to Ronda and has two children, Katie and Andrew. He is a graduate of Bishop McGuiness H.S. in Oklahoma City and holds degrees in Chemistry, Marketing/Finance and Funeral Service earned from The University of Oklahoma and The University of Central Oklahoma.

His vast career experience spans several distinct industries and gives him unique insight into better ways in which to serve in the funeral home setting.

Darin also has a broad range of experience in the funeral service industry, in both funeral home and cemetery settings. He is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, Grief Recovery Specialist, and Insurance Agent all of which play a critical role in today’s funeral home.

He had been the managing director of Oklahoma’s largest independently owned funeral home until its sale in 1998. When that business was sold, Darin remained on until the completion of his contract in 2005.

After seven years of trying to change the corporate funeral industry from within and getting nowhere, Darin resigned his position in January 2005 and in May of 2005 he opened, Corbett Funeral & Cremation Service, a uniquely different full service funeral provider in the Nichols Hills area of Oklahoma City.

Over the years he has been called upon to facilitate the funerary tribute needs of over one thousand families, including those for former Speaker of the House Carl Albert as well as other dignitaries.

Darin is an Oklahoma County Special Deputy and has worked with the TRIAD and S.A.L.T task forces, which educate and strive to protect our senior citizens from fraud; especially important when it comes to funeral homes and funeral service in general.

Darin is and has been an active member of our community for many years, serving within several civic and professional organizations including: Kiwanis, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, SIDS Alliance, RTS, Pathways Educational Corporation, Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association, Metroplex Business Leaders Group and several chambers of commerce.

He has also been a regular radio talk show guest, public speaker and consultant for several groups including: Oklahoma County Sheriff Dept., several school districts, Oklahoma Nursing Home Advocates Association, Oklahoma DHS Aging Services, Oklahoma Adult Protective Services, Rose State College, University of Central Oklahoma, Hospice and Palliative Care groups, the American Legion and OU Medical Center.
