Penny Forbes

Memorial Service Friday, October 24th, 2014 - 11:00 AM - Faith Baptist Church 142 N Dobbs Rd - Harrah, OK - 73045 Penny Mitchell Forbes, age 52, was born December 18, 1961 in Ennis, TX and went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OK. Penny had a Master’s Degree in Nursing and was a Trauma Nurse at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX for many years. Penny recently worked for Southwest Airlines as a reservation sales agent at the Oklahoma City center for 15 years. Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Irene Maulin and Billy Wayne Bristow, her sisters Sandra Jean Stephens and Arlene Bristow, and her previous husband George Leroy Mitchell. Penny is survived by her husband, Bill Forbes, son Nathaniel Mitchell, daughters Ronda Smith, Somer Forbes and Angela Forbes. Sisters, Jody Minton (husband Leroy), Sharon Bishop (husband Charles), brother Sandy Ray Bristow (wife Charlotte), nieces Kristie Donnachie, Michelle Sifuentes (husband Ed), nephews Adam Bristow, Troy Bristow, Matthew Bishop, and John Smith and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends. Penny loved to cook and always had a house full of people to cook for. She loved life, to sing and dance. She loved her family and the Lord very much. She enjoyed doing stained glass with her husband Bill. The family would like to thank Dr. John Seguin and his nurse Terri Fitzgerald for taking such good care of Penny during her life. Thank you for not only being her doctor and nurse, but her friend also. The family would also like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at Harbor Light Hospice and Integris Hospice House for caring for her over these last 6 months. We are eternally grateful for the care and support given to Penny and our family.
