Mercedes S. Welch

Mercedes Suzanne “Sam” Welch departed our world and entered into the Kingdom of God, Saturday, March 14, 2015. Mercedes was born June 1, 1967 in Ft. Myers, FL. Mercedes was the youngest of 3 children born to Betty Louise and Homer T. “Pete” Welch. Mercedes moved to Fairview, OK with her mother in 1981, to join with her father who had already relocated to Fairview in 1979. Mercedes graduated for Fairview High School in 1986. Mercedes pursued a career in Nursing, like her mother, and became a Certified Med. Aide. Later she met Doug Sellers, via performing “home health care” for Doug’s grandmother. Mercedes & Doug were married in July 1991, from this union; they had 2 children, Maribeth and Colton Sellers. Mercedes loved muddin’ with her Jeep, loved her dogs, Hope & Ben. She loved her beads and jewelry making and giving away all her work to family and friends. Mercedes is survived by her children Maribeth and Colton Sellers and their father Doug Sellers. She is also survived by her mother Betty Louise Welch, sister Lisa Renshaw and brother Alan Welch, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who love and will miss her dearly.
