Almond Bruce Cook III

Almond “Bruce” Cook (71,) of Ponca City, OK, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Hospice House in Oklahoma City, OK. Bruce was born on September 15, 1943 in Atlanta, GA and joined the United States Navy on September 15, 1960 where he served as a Seaman Recruit on the USS Hornet (CVS-12.) After serving his country, in the Navy; Bruce took up carpentry and spent the next 50+ years perfecting his trade. On July 9, 1988 Bruce was married to Judi Cook at the Salt Fork River and is survived by sons Michael Cook of Oklahoma City and Almond “Keith” Henderson of White, GA; daughter Beverly Brady of Amarillo, TX, step-daughters: LeAnn Badley of Ponca City and Rebecca Hubbard of Ponca City, as well as 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Bruce is preceded in death by his father: Almond Bruce Cook II, wife: Judi Lee Cook, daughter: Joy Britton, and granddaughter: Amber Kaylene. Per Bruce’s wishes there will not be a memorial service but our family is very grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
